The Story Behind Forever Found
Forever Found started during a session where I was exploring different song ideas in Grok. One of those ideas stood out enough that I wanted to keep developing it, and from there I iterated on the concept and lyrics in ChatGPT until the song began to take on the shape and identity that ultimately became the Loriena Drift release.
What stayed at the center was the idea of searching. There is a very human tendency to keep looking for home, meaning, love, reassurance, or some sign that we are moving in the right direction. I liked turning that around and asking what it would feel like to discover that the connection you were looking for had been present longer than you realized.
That fit Loriena Drift especially well. The Artist gives me room to work with spiritual ideas without having to define every spiritual question. The sense of being found can be heard through faith, love, hope, human connection, or simply the experience of finally recognizing something that had been there all along. I wanted the song to leave that space open.
Looking back across the catalog, I also hear a natural connection to Loriena Drift’s Out of the Dark. I did not set out to make them a formal pair, but both return to light, searching, and hope from different directions. Out of the Dark is more about moving toward something brighter. Forever Found feels more like the realization that, in some important way, the distance may already have been closed.
Creative Notes
One of the useful distinctions in my catalog is the space between Loriena Drift and Corra’s Light. They can touch some of the same questions, but Corra’s Light is comfortable naming Christian faith directly. Loriena Drift gives me a wider, more searching electronic language. For Forever Found, I kept the spiritual possibility intact without pushing the song into an explicitly devotional frame.
