The Story Behind Spirit Move (In the Silence)
Spirit Move (In the Silence) came from thinking about how easy it is for people to seek a higher power only in obvious moments.
I wanted to explore the quieter side of presence, the moments where nothing dramatic is happening, where the room is still, the noise drops away, and yet something is clearly moving underneath it all. At the same time, I did not want the song to stay delicate from beginning to end. The idea was that presence can meet you in silence and still carry enormous force.
That made Loriena Drift the right home for it. Electronic music gave me a way to move between those states without treating one as more spiritual than the other. The calm opening and the heavier release are both part of the same thought.
Creative Notes
I shaped the track around a chill future-bass opening that gradually gives way to a much larger reese-bass drop. I wanted the layered vocals to feel almost prayer-like at first, then become chopped and glitched as the arrangement intensifies.
For the artwork, I used a split visual language with a quiet rain-lit city on one side and a brighter, more chaotic worship-energy scene on the other. Loriena sits between those worlds, which made the cover feel connected to both the stillness and the movement in the song.
